Why Ski in Italy?

Thanks to Glacier at Passo Tonale it is the most reliable place for snow at that time of the year. Days filled with leisure, going down the slopes, hanging out with friends and making plans for the kayaking year over pizza, Italian coffee and aperol spritz, it does not get better!

Ski & Snowboard in Italy

In the heart of the Alps, enclosed between Lombardia and Trentino you can find majestic peaks, everlasting snow, foaming waterfalls and an untouched nature protected by the Adamello Park and the National Stelvio Park. Passo Tonale carousel offers 100km slopes split between 41 ski slopes. They are located between 1.121 m and 3.000 m of altitude, where you can test yourself with different levels of difficulty! The slopes are all connected and thanks to unique skipass you can catch all the 28 and enjoy all of them! Pure fun for skiers of every level guaranteed!

The skiing season here is particularly long-lasting thanks to the Presena glacier, that allows you to ski for long time which is perfect for time of our trip!

Spend your winter holidays shredding the sunny slopes in the valley, eating pasta and pizza and enjoying Italian wine. Does not matter if it is your first time on the slopes or you have been shredding for years – join our groups of different levels and enjoy daily tips and tricks with your instructor. A highlight of the trip is spending the evenings with your kayaking friends making plans for the next year and rivers you are going to paddle!

Winter Ski & Snowboard Holidays

Accomodation: Condominio Tonale 3

Situated in Passo del Tonale in the Trentino Alto Adige region, with Tonale Pass nearby, TONALE 3 features accommodation with free WiFi.

All units come with a living room, a seating area with a sofa bed, a TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table and a private bathroom with bidet. For added convenience, the property can provide towels and bed linen for an extra charge (15 euro/week).

We will be fitting 4 people maximum at one apartment unless you are group of friends – then the apartment can hold maximum up to 6 people, please let us know in the message if you want to stay together.

You can walk directly from the room to the ski slope and nearly ski back in.

Day 1 - Arrival

Arrive to Passo Tonale and get accomodated in the afternoon into the apartments.

If you choose to fly in and don’t want to rent a car  – There will be optional pick up based on arrival times around the mid day.  Drive to Passo Tonale is approximately 2,5 hour. You can select airport pick-up you can select upon booking or let us know later.

Day 2

Enjoy most of your stay by exploring the area on your ski or snowboard hopping between all the different slopes!

10:00 – 12:00 starting off with a warm up that will open the day together and lead into a 1 hour beginners class for those that have never ski/snowboard before or those that are just taking their first steps!

12:00 We will be meeting for lunch at one of the stations

14:00 Start for Advanced classes to improve your skills

18:00 Going out for dinner to one of the local restaurants or enjoying the evening at our accomodation

Days 3-7 - Shredding the slopes

Enjoy most of your stay by exploring area on your ski or snowboard hoping between the multiple mountains!

09:00 Leaving for the slopes from apartments

09:45 Start the day off with a warm up at the slope that will open the day together

12:00 We will be meeting for lunch at one of the stations

18:00 Going out for dinner to one of the local restaurants or enjoying the evening at our accomodation

Program may vary based on the day and weather.

Day 8 - Departure

Pack up and transfer back to the airport to fly home leaving apartments at 09:00. Shuttle to the Mediolan-Bergamo (BGY) airport will be leaving at 09:30. It is recommended to book return flights for afternoon, earliest at 14:30 to secure enough time for travel and check in.

 

In case earlier shuttle is required we will help to arrange that for an extra fee.

    I've never Ski/Snowboard before, can I come?

    Yes! The trip is designed to teach those that have never been to the slopes before and want to take their first steps in learning to ski or snowboard. If you have any doubt at all whether your ability suits this trip drop us an email and we would be happy to advise.

    What kind of accomodation we will be staying at?

    We will be staying apartments named BILO 4 which fits  3 and 4 people comfortably. Maximum 6 people can be fit. If you are happy to share a double bed/sofa – it is possible to add an extra person or two in each.  Obviously, we won’t be squeezing random people in double beds. Unless asked for – each person shall have their own bed.

     

    Apartments represent the following or similar standards:

    1 living room with sofa bed (2 singular beds), kitchen, balcony, 1 bathroom, 1 double bed, 2 singular beds, parking.

    I'm already a good skier/snowboarder, is there anything in the trip for me?

    Yes! In the afternoon we will be taking care of advanced skiers and work on their abilities of carving or basics of freestyle. You can also choose to go ride for yourself with your friends and enjoy the evenings with other kayakers!  If you have any doubt at all whether your ability suits this trip drop us an email and we would be happy to advise.

    How does the Ski Pass work and when should I buy it?

    The ski pass is already included in the price! 6 day Ski pass allows you to ski on over 100 km of slopes in Pontedilegno-Tonale.

    I don't have any equipment with me or I don't want to fly with it, can I rent it?

    There are multiple rental places that will offer you a wide selection of skis and snowboards including boots, helmets and goggles if needed. Prices depend on rental place however we will do our best to help you choose best equipment.

    How does the bus from the airport work?

    Arrival

    Bus line is BS1 by Bergamo Trasporti. You want to travel from Bergamo Aeroporto Orio al Serio to Passo Tonale. We will pick you up from the bus station in Passo Tonale.

    Bus from Bergamo is leaving from just outside the airport. You have to look for line BS1, make sure to secure enough time to find it. You can ask at the airport or just follow sings for the buses to find it. Your destination is “Passo Tonale, Albergo Redivalle” stop.

    Buses are leaving from the airport at 09:30, 14:40 and 19:15 from the airport. Ride takes 5 hours and costs around 10 euro.

    Departure

    Bus line is BS1 by Bergamo Trasporti. You will departure from same stop that you got off nearby to our apartments. You want to travel to Bergamo Aeroporto Orio al Serio. We can help you to get to the stop for early bus only. Otherwise it is a short walk. You have to look for line BS1, make sure you are at the right stop waiting for the bus.

    Buses are leaving from Passo Tonale only at 12:40. Alternatively you can go from nearby Ponte Di Legno at 04:05, 08:00 and 13:10. You can get a short taxi ride or even go with a ski lift to Ponte Di legno. Ride takes around 4,5 hour and costs around 10 euro.

    Arrive to Mediolan-Bergamo (BGY) and get picked up from the airport to get accommodated in the apartments. Drive to Mezzana is approximately 2,5 hour.

    There will be one pick up around mid day based on people arrivals

    Departure

    Pack up and transfer back to the airport to fly home leaving apartments at 09:00. Shuttle to the Mediolan-Bergamo (BGY) airport will be leaving at 09:30. It is recommended to book return flights for afternoon, earliest at 14:30 to secure enough time for travel and check in.

    In case earlier shuttle is required we will help to arrange that for an extra fee.

    We recommend flying with Ryanair from most main European airports, if you need any flying advice – don’t hesitate to contact us.

    Make sure you fly to Bergamo airport as there are a few in Milano. Pick up from other airports in Milano might be more difficult but we will try to assist you in a best way we can.
