Tbilisi III Guided trip that is suitable for people that have completed a basic course, have a whitewater roll and want to paddle rivers at II+ – III+ under the eye of professional kayakers enjoying different rivers and flowing down the sections.

Tbilisi III+/IV Coached trip that is a perfect course for those who are already comfortable on class III+ and are looking to progress in creeking!

Kayaking in Georgia

The green valleys, endless vineyards and ancient churches scattered throughout Georgia will quickly make you realise why Georgia is considered one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Variety of rivers in this country is amazing. You will find all types of rivers scattered in different valleys with their own micro climate.  Guests are considered blessings in Georgia and we’ll experience this friendly hospitality throughout our adventure as we travel through the country while enjoying local treats, food and beverages.

  • Enjoy a rest day at the Black Sea
  • Gain advanced creeking knowledge especially focussed on safety and objective dangers and how to avoid them on the rivers
  • Expert low ratio coaching, tailored to suit you and your kayaking

III Creeking trip

Day 1 Sunday Arrival to Tbilisi (TBS) airport

Upon arrival, you will be picked up and driven to our accommodation where you will meet the rest of your travel companions. It is recommended to book the flights arriving before 3 pm. Please get in touch regarding your flight before booking it, we will try to synchronize everybody to minimize waiting time for each group.

 

Pick ups outside of that day or in middle of the night will require additional payment for taxi – you can expect 25-50 euro depending for how big car needs to be and if you have boats.

 

Accomodation: After arrival you will be collected to the airport and with group transferred to our near airport accommodation (Tbilisi)

Day 2-6

Depending on water levels we will start with Aragvi or Khrami. Then we will follow with Dzirula getting as far as Tekhuri, Supsa and/or Rioni. We may finish coming back through Vardzia. Plan is very open and flexible due to nature of Georgian kayaking and water levels. Plan will be adjusted to group skill level and water levels. Expect at least two big drives from and to Tbilisi.

Accommodation: Aragvi, Kutaisi, Tmogvi, Nakalakevi, Tbilisi

Day 7 Saturday Departure from Tbilisi (TBS) Airport

We plan to leave for Tbilisi a day earlier. Flights can be booked at a convenient time, however, keep in mind that you have to be minimum 3 hours earlier before your flight at Tbilisi airport to avoid queues during passport controls. It is best to choose a morning flight to minimize waiting time and delays, especially on connecting flights. Your kayak coach will say goodbye to you in Kutaisi and you will be taken by our local pilot driver to Tbilisli where you will check into accomodation and get picked up next day for the airport departure.

Accommodation: Tbilisi

 

Plan is very open and flexible due to nature of Georgian kayaking and water levels. Plan will be adjusted to group skill level and water levels.

III/IV Creeking trip

Upon arrival, you will be picked up and driven to our accommodation where you will meet the rest of your travel companions. It is recommended to book the flights arriving before 3 pm. You can also arrive day earlier and get to town with taxi and wait for group to arrive. Please get in touch regarding your flight before booking it, we will try to synchronize everybody to minimize waiting time for each group.

Accomodation: After arrival you will be collected to the airport and with group transferred to our near airport accommodation (Kutaisi or nearby)

Day 2-6

Depending on water levels we may start anywhere ranging from low volume creeking to even big volume. We may stay either in area of Kutaisi paddling Rioni, head towards west to visit Khobistikhali and Tekhuri, head towards black sea where we will be based for Supsa, Bzhuza, Kintrishi, Machakhela or maybe even visit famous Vardzia.

Accommodation: Region of either Kobuleti, Kutaisi, Nakalakevi, Tmogvi

Day 7 Saturday Departure from Kutaisi (KUT)

We plan to leave towards Kutaisi airport day earlier. Flights can be booked at a convenient time, however, keep in mind that you have to be minimum 3 hours earlier before your flight at Kutaisi airport due to the famous queues that are forming there during check ins.) It is best to choose morning flight to minimise waiting time and delays, especially on connecting flights.

Plan is very open and flexible due to nature of Georgian kayaking and water levels. Plan will be adjusted to group skill level and water levels.

 

Accommodation: Kutaisi

 

It is possible to get a departing flight from Tbilisi on Sunday, our driver can take you on Saturday back to Tbilisi and for small fee arrange a drop of to the airport or help with organising the taxi.

  • Food, Drinks & snacks
  • Pick ups outside of pick up day or in night hours (expect around 25-50 eur charge for that per shuttle)

III Is this the right trip for me?

Guided trip that is suitable for people that have completed a basic course, have a whitewater roll and want to paddle rivers at II – III+ under the eye of professional kayakers enjoying different rivers and flowing down the sections. You should have run class III river at least once in the past.

III/IV Is this the right trip for me?

The trip is suitable for people that have experience on the rivers and feel comfortable at class III, have a reliable whitewater roll and want to paddle rivers of class III-IV and experience the local culture. The course will help you step up your game under the eye of professional kayakers with a high level of coaching and guidance.

Do you cater for youth paddlers too?
Can I rent equipment?

You have to bring your personal paddling equipment

Personal paddling equipment (available to rent at an additional cost, let us know what equipment you need and we can arrange it for you!) – 160 euro for Jackson Kayak/Unlocked boats & Paddle 55 euro per trip (Sherpa, Surge, Powerhouse). When renting please be sure to bring 2 air bags and additional hip pads/foam bits that you would have in your boat. We usually source private boats and these won’t have these pieces.

The camp is suitable for both youth and adult paddlers. During the camp if our coaches are going to look after young paddlers, participants and their legal supervisors must agree to rules of camp.
