Are you planning to go to Zambezi, White Nile, Futaleufu or going for any other big water holiday and want to make sure that you are up for the challenge? Or simply love paddling big water and want to polish your skills and improve control for maximum fun? Either scenario we got you covered! Join our Zambezi preparation trip that we will run down various sections of Inn! We will go through practical techniques that we specialise in teaching on our big water trips and make sure you are ready for challenges to come with set of skills that you can take home and still practice before heading off!

This is a unique kayaking course to introduce you to ‘big water’. The course is perfect for those who are already comfortable on class III and are looking to progress on to more advanced big water.

The goal is to improve your skills on various sections and specific features like diagonal, boils, crushing and standing waves along with reading big water and moving around in the most efficient way. Should you choose to skip, plug, plunge or boot? What angle to choose hitting the big wave? How and where to roll to make it the easiest? These and many other topics we will cover during our course and get your ready for Zambezi!

Accomodation: Gasthaus Annemarie in Kauns, Austria

Classic day plan will be meeting for breakfast early and heading off to the secition of the river planned for the day. Most of the days we will be paddling Inn but we may jump to Sanna depending on water levels and learning opportunities. While we will be focusing on big water skills development we want to make most of paddling in the area and run as many sections as we will be able to. In the afternoon after the shuttle we will be back to our accommodation and after relaxing we will head of for dinner where we can have a look at some of video footage and techniques that we are learning!

On the last day after early breakfast we will say see you on the big water adventure and head off for our departures. Please book Innsbruck flights after 2pm and Munich flights after 6pm.

The trip is suitable for people that have finished a basic course, feel stable in a boat, have a solid roll and are looking for the next step preparing to paddle on the big water. The course will help you step up your game under the eye of professional kayakers with a high level of coaching and guidance getting ready for rivers like White Nile, Zambezi, Ottawa, Futaleufu and more!

Personal paddling equipment (available to rent at an additional cost, let us know what equipment you need and we can arrange it for you!) – Kayak 110 euro for standard boats and 160 for premium Jackson Kayak boats & Paddle 55 euro per trip.
