Surfing at Skook
Skook is one of the most beautiful and iconic waves in the world. Located on the sunshine coast of British Columbia, the wave at Skookumchuck narrows is formed when the tide change causes water to rush between two land masses and over an inland reef.
The wave forms during the afternoon at this time of year, so our mornings will be spent chilling out, reviewing video from our previous session and doing technique sessions to prep for the afternoon session. Each day, about 3 hours before the wave is due to peak we will start our ~45mins walk down to the wave through a pristine temperate rainforest. Once there we will get our 3-4 hours on the wave. This might not sound like much paddling each day but we can assure you that you’ll be sleeping well at night!
